Your Accounting software has a clean, easy-to-use interface. Review this section to familiarize yourself with the various ways to navigate the system. Some areas can be customized for each user based on their unique roles.
Applications
Hover over the Applications link on the side menu and select the application you want to work in. Once you are in a specific application, the side menu changes to display the options available for that application.
Click the Applications link on the side menu to return to the Financials dashboard. Specific Security Setup options and Utilities can only be accessed from the Financials dashboard.
The Security Setup menu provides options to modify Account Rights, Task Roles, or Users. The Utilities menu has options for your main Organization page, Email Configuration, Lookups, Payment Providers, and Combine Duplicates.
Current Financial Settings
The Current Financial Settings window lets you change the current Company, Fiscal Year, Period, Bank Account, and Credit Card for your user within the program. The current settings are used when performing most functions.
To change your current settings:
- Click the change link at the top of any application to display the Current Financial Settings window.
- Make your selections using the drop-down lists.
- Click OK to apply the changes, or Cancel to return to the previous page.
Note: Selecting a closed Fiscal Year as your current setting prevents you from posting any transactions or entries until the setting is changed.
Settings are stored per-user, so each user can have their own current settings. You can change these settings at any time within any application.
