Before you begin, confirm the following are set up:
- At least one Company and at least one Donors & Gifts Purpose.
- In Giving, the Funds (purposes) you want available for online giving are configured in Fund Management (Gear Icon > Fund Management).
- A published Form in Giving.
Integrate Accounting with Giving
- Log in to Giving.
- Go to the Gear Icon > ChMS Integration.
- Choose Accounting from the Available Integrations drop-down.
- Enter your public accounting URL, including the trailing slash.
- Example: https://yourchurch.myamplify.org/
- Log in to Accounting.
- From the main screen, go to Utilities > Organization.
- Click the Security Settings tab on the left.
- Click Generate Secret.
- Copy the API Secret that populates.
- Scroll down and click Update.
- Return to Giving, paste the secret in the API Secret box, then click Save API Info.
Important: The system verifies the credentials, then the screen refreshes.
- Map your Giving System Funds to the corresponding Donors & Gifts Purposes.
Note: If nothing populates in the Company or Purpose lists, click the Refresh Accounting Fund List button, then proceed.
- Once your Funds are mapped, click Add New Fund Mapping to save the mapping.
- Continue mapping until all Giving Funds are mapped.
- Proceed to New Person Mapping, where you indicate how the system handles donors it does not find in Financials:
- When enabled, the system creates the record in Financials and attributes the gift to that donor.
- When Disabled, the gift still processes, but its record is placed on a Sync Error List in Giving for your team to review and resolve.
- To save these settings and complete integration, click Enable Integration.
