Import Expensify Transactions
Navigate to General Ledger > Utilities > Import Expensify. See Expensify Integration for more information.
- Add the Category Information: See Map Expensify Categories to Expense Accounts if needed.
- Provide the following information:
- Group Workspace
- Begin Date
- End Date
- Journal Code (e.g., EX to indicate Expensify)
- Journal Description
- Click Import Expensify. Note: Only "Approved" Expensify expenses import from Expensify.
- Review the Preview page. Click Exit the Import Preview to return to the previous page, or click Clear Expensify Transactions Import to remove the transactions listed.
- Click Import to continue.
- Review the list of journals to be imported.
- Click Import if correct.
- The Unposted Journals page displays. Click Journal Edit Report to preview and/or print. Click Change Year if needed.
- Click Post Journals to continue.
- Click the Pencil icon to edit a transaction and make any necessary changes.
- Click the button to save any information that has been added or changed.
- Click the Reset link to restore the page to its state before any changes were made.
- Click the Cancel link to leave the page without saving any changes and return to the previous page you were on.
Map Expensify Categories
If no categories are mapped or there are mapping errors, you will be automatically redirected to the "Category Information" page. Otherwise, you will land on the "Import Expensify" page, where you can click the "Add Category Information" link.
- Navigate to General Ledger > Utilities > Import Expensify.
- Select Group Workspace, then select the following:
- Category
- Bank Account
- Fund (available depending on how your chart of accounts is set up)
- Dept (available depending on how your chart of accounts is set up)
- An Expense Account #
- Click the Add Mapping button to add the mapping to the grid. You need to do this for all your Expensify categories.
Note: If you need to edit an incorrect mapping, select the Group Workspace, Category, Bank Account, and Expense Account #, then click the Add Mapping button to update it.
