The ACH Prenotification report lets you view the PreNote Verification Report and create the ACH text file that you can send to your financial institution for prenotification.
Prenotification
Prenotification is mandatory only if your bank requires a zero-balance transaction to be sent through the system at least 6 days before the money is deposited into the account. This process, called prenotification (also known as prenoting), allows Payroll to check that the transit number and account number are accurate. It also allows the bank to verify that it can receive the credit without any problems.
If a prenoted employee changes banks or accounts, you must prenote the employee again. It is recommended that you inform each employee that there is a federally mandated delay period and that they should expect a short delay before their pay is deposited directly into their bank account.
